An lovely vintage 1920's Whiting & Davis Art Deco formal enameled mesh evening bag or purse.

The purse measures approximately 4 1/4 inches across, and from the top of the frame to the very bottom of the fringe it is approximately is 6 1/2 inches in length.

The bag is a gorgeous enameled piece with a fantastic Art Nouveau pattern, in shades black and creamy white x's and o's. The pretty intricate chain handle is 12 inches in total length, and is a silver color, as is the beautiful frame.

There are a couple of links that are not attached at the corners of where the front and back of the frame meet, as well as one small area in the bottom of the bag. It does not detract from the beauty of the piece, nor does it cause any problems with use of the purse.

There is no loss of enamel, dents or damage to the frame. The clasp is in perfect condition, and it snaps shut well. This is truly a timeless and classic piece that is sure to attract attention.
